This past Saturday, we hosted our second Lean Startup Camp Tokyo, and the first one keynoted by our very own Eric Ries. We hosted about 120 local entrepreneurs at the Digital Garage office in the Shibuya/Daikanyama district of Tokyo. It was great to see the enthusiasm of the local Tokyo startup community for the Lean Startup concept. It was a lively interactive session, and I know both Eric and I were impressed at the level of the questions, and the thought that went into them.
It was an honor to share the stage with Eric. I also want to thank Hitoshi Hokamura, Chairman of Evernote Japan, Akimitsu Sano, CEO of Cookpad, Ayumu Aizawa, Developer Evangelist for Japan at Heroku, and Toshihisa Wanami, founder of Lean Startup Japan for speaking at the event. And I want to thank the founder teams from Pirika, Qiita and Lang-8, for participating in the live coaching.
We’re also excited that his book is now available in Japanese. Thanks to NikkeiBP, Eric’s Japanese publisher, for getting the book translated in time for this event.
You can see some of the twitter traffic under the #dgevent hashtag, though of course most of the comments are in Japanese.
